Campaigns
History The 11. Armee was established on 5 October 1940 and until 21 June 1941 they were located in Germany. From 22 June 1941 until 3 September 3 1942 they fought in the southern sectors of the Eastern Front. From 4 September 1942 to 27 November 1942 they were transferred to the northern sector of the Eastern front. On 27 November 1942 the 11. Army was extracted from the northern front and sent to the south to become Army Group Don. They were in existence for 783 days of which 523 days were spent on the Eastern Front first in the southern area and then in the northern area.
The 11. Armee was re-established on 26 November 1944 first fighting in the east and then from late March 1945 to the end in the west.
