History


The 9. Armee was established on 15 May 1940 and participated in the Western Campaign from 15 May 1940 to 25 June 1940 and then in the occupation of France from 26 June 1940 through 17 April 1941. From 18 April 1941 through 21 June 1941 they relocated to Eastern Frontier. The 9 Armee was in existence for 1,813 days of which 1,410 were spent fighting in the Eastern Campaign mostly in the central section.
