  • Formed 15.10.35 in Wien as Stab for the panzer units of the 2. Panzer-Division.
  • Disbanded 1.11.42
  • Replacement units were provided by the Panzer-Ersatz-Abteilung 4 in Wien-Mödling

3. Panzer-Brigade

  • Formed 15.10.35 in Berlin as Stab for the panzer units of the 3. Panzer-Division.
  • On 15.1.41 redesignated Stab/5. leichte Division.
  • Replacement units were provided by the Panzer-Ersatz-Abteilung 5 in Neuruppin

4. Panzer-Brigade

  • Formed 10.11.38 in Stuttgart as an independent unit. 1.9.39 to 15.10.39 known as Stab/Panzer-Division Kempf (with Panzer-Regiments 7 and 8).
  • From 15.10.39 belonged to the 10. Panzer-Division.
  • Disbanded Winter 41/42.
  • Replacement units were provided by the Panzer-Ersatz-Abteilung 7 in Böblingen

5. Panzer-Brigade

Replacement units were provided by the Panzer-Ersatz-Abteilung 35 in Bamberg, from 21.1.41 5 in Neuruppin

6. Panzer-Brigade

  • Formed 10.11.38 Würzburg as Stab for the independent Panzer-Regiments 11 and 25.
  • 1.4.39 attached to the 2. leichte Division.
  • Disbanded 1939.

8. Panzer-Brigade

  • Formed 10.11.38 in Sagan as Stab for the panzer units of the 5. Panzer-Division.
  • In 1.3.41 redesignated Stab/Panzer-Brigade 100.

Replacement units were provided by the Panzer-Ersatz-Abteilung 15 inSagan

10. Panzer-Brigade

  • Formed 27.6.43 from Stab/Panzer-Regiment 10.
  • Subordinated directly to OKH.
  • 5.44 in Reims (Ausbildungsstab 2).
  • 1945 in Döberitz, and became Stab/Panzer-Division Döberitz.

30.6.43 in Heeresgruppe Süd with:

Panzer-Brigade 100

Was created as a Stab (HQ) from the Stab of Panzer Brigade 8 for control of various Beute-Panzer Regiments (Captured tanks).

Formed 1.3.41 in France from Stab/8. Panzer-Brigade. Controlled the following units:

  • Panzer-Regiment 201
  • Panzer-Regiment 202
  • Panzer-Abteilung 301
  • Kompanieführerschule für Panzer-Truppen, Versailles (from 1943)
  • and other various Panzer units formed in France

In 1943 redesignated General der Panzertruppen bei OB West (later Panzergruppen-Kommando West).

Panzer-Brigade 103

Formed 26.7.44 in Wehrkreis XIII, with:

  • Panzer-Abteilung 2103 (4 coys.) from Panzer-Abteilung Norwegen

In 11.44 the Brigade left East Prussia, the Pz.Gren.Btl. was disbanded and the Pz.Abt. went to Bielefeld, and on 17.12.44 became I./Panzer-Regiment39 (17. Pz. Div.), this transition was completed 20.1.45.

The Brigade Stab went to 19th Armee (Oberrhein) on 26.11.44, was at Truppenübungsplatz Grafenwöhr on 11.1.45, and on 26.1.45 went to Schlesien for front-line service.On 8.3.45 the Stab became Stab/Pz.Div.Müncheberg

On 31.8.44 left Mielau for Belgium. Disbanded 23.9.44 and was absorbed by the 9th Panzer-Division, the Pz.Gren.Btl. 2105 became II./Pz.Gren.Rgt11, while the Pz.Btl. 2105 shortly thereafter became II./Pz.Rgt. 10 in the 8th Panzer-Division (Slovakia)

Formed 7.44 at Truppenübungsplatz Grafenwöhr, Wehrkreis XIII.The Stab/108 was to have been formed from Stab/ss-Brigade Gross, but was instead formed in 8.44 from Stab/Panzer-Regiment 39. The Brigade consisted of:

  • Panzer-Grenadier-Bataillon 2108 (5 coys)
  • Brigade-einheiten 2108

On 16.9.44 left Grafenwöhr for Gerolstein. Disbanded 11.44, theBrigade Stab became Stab/Pz.Rgt. 39 again, the Pz.Abt. was used to form the Panzer-Regiment Coburg, and the Pz.Gren.Abt. was absorbed by the 116.Panzer-Division.

  • Brigade-einheiten (incl. Pi.Kp.) 2110

In 9.44 used to reform the 13th Panzer-Division (later Feldherrnhalle2).

I./Panzer-Regiment 16 (Panther) of the 116. Pz.Div. was attached to the Brigade. The Brigade left Wehrkreis VI for Remiremont/Lothringen on 6.9.44.

Was to have been absorbed by the 15. Pz.Gren.Div. on 25.9.44, but was instead absorbed by the 11. Panzer-Division on 1.10.44. The Pz.Abt. 2111 went to Wehrkreis VI, and in 12.44 became II./Pz.Rgt. 9 (25th Pz.Div.)

I./Panzer-Regiment 130 (Panther) of the Panzer-Lehr-Division was attached to the Brigade. The Brigade left Wehrkreis XII for Kolmar on 6.9.44, and on 16.9.44 to Saarburg.

Was to have been absorbed by the 11. Panzer-Division on 23.9.44, but was instead absorbed by the 15th Pz.Gren.Div. on 1.10.44. The Pz.Abt. 2113 went to Wehrkreis XII, and in later became II./Pz.Rgt. 10 (8th Pz.Div.)
