“Jueterbog” Panzer-Division

History

The “Juterbog” Panzer-Division was formed at the Juterbog training grounds inFebruary, 1945. The divisional staff of Juterbog came from the 16.Panzer andmuch of the rest of the division came from various units and formations leftover from Army Group Center on the Eastern Front, badly mauled from theSoviet summer offensive in June, 1944.

Almost as soon as this division was formed, it was disbanded and its unitswere incorporated into the 16.Panzer-Division in February, 1945.
