    After formation, the Deutsch-Italienischen Panzer-Armee took part in the following operations: Oct-Nov 1942, Battle of El Alamein, Nov 1942, retreat from Egyptian frontier and retreat from Cyrenaica, Nov-Dec 1942, Defensive battles in the Mursa el Brega line, Dec 1942 retreat from Tripolitania, Dec 1942-Jan 1943, defensive battle in the Buerat Line, Jan-Feb 1943, rearguard battles on the Tunisian-Triplotania borders.

    On February 23rd, 1943, the Deutsch-Italienischen Panzer-Armee was formed into Heeresgruppe Afrika.
