Lineage
  • Schutzmannschaft-Brigade "Siegling"
  • 30.Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (russische Nr.2)
  • Waffen-Grenadier-Brigade der SS (weissruthenische)
  • 30.Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (weissruthenische Nr.1)
  • History This unit was formed on March 9th, 1945 at Grafenwöhr when the Waffen-Grenadier-Brigade der SS (weissruthenische) was ordered renamed as a division for reasons unknown, as the unit had already once been downgraded from a division (the original 30.Waffen-Grenadier-Division der ss), and was at this point even less capable of holding the line as divisonal unit. The 30.Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (weissruthenische Nr.1) was to be completed in June of 1945 but it was disbanded very shortly after begining formation while located in the Weiden region. The German personnel were used to form the 38.SS-Grenadier-Division Nibelungen.
