3.Marine-Infanterie-Division

History

The 3.Marine-Infanterie-Division was formed 4.01.45 from the 163.Infanterie-Division and Marine-Schützen-Bataillone126 – 131. The 163.Infanterie-Division had been almost totally destroyed inMarch of 1945 while in Pommern, and was ordered rebuilt with Kriegsmarinepersonnel. It then became the 3.Marine-Infanterie-Division.

No part of the division is mentioned in the Feldpostübersicht.
