| History | The brigade was formed from reserve and training units around Paderborn and Schloss-Neuhaus, on 29 March 1945, as a special reserve for H.Gr.H. The brigade went into action on 31 March 45. By 5 April the unit was withdrawing toward the Teuburger Forest in the Harz Mountain area, where the German high command was trying to form a new 11th army, which was itself cut off and surrounded. That new pocket was the end of Brigade Westfalen. | ||
