Formed 10.39 in Westerland from Marine-Flak-Abteilung 284 with 3 companies. In 4.40 moved to Esbjerg/Denmark, now with 4 companies:

  • 2./204 in Femhöje with three 105mm Flak and two 20mm Flak
  • 3./204 on Fanö with four 88mm Flak and two 20mm Flak
  • 4./204 in Esbjerg with six 150mm searchlights

1944 had 9 batteries, incl. 4 heavy.

Formed in 1941 with 6 companies, but was disbanded again during the summer 1941. Formation probably never completed, 1./210 became 10./229 in Gotenhafen and 6./210 became Marine-Bordflak-Kompanie Werft Kiel.

Formed 8.26.39 in Pillau with 5 companies, but disbanded 1.40.

Reformed 2.01.41 in Pillau with 2 companies. In summer 1941 increased to 7 companies (from parts of 225), and then to 10 companies in the same summer (also from 225). In Winter 41/42 gave up 4. and 8./215, and now had 8 batteries. In 1944 had 7 batteries. In 1945 defended Pillau, and was destroyed there 4.45.

Subordinated to Marine-Artillerie-Regiment 5 (1940), from 2.41 Küstenbefehlshaber östliche (later mittlere) Ostsee, and 1945 Seekdt. Ostpreussen.


Marine-Flak-Abteilung 216

Formed 8.26.39 in Borkum with 4 companies, 1940 6 companies, 1943 7 batteries and in 1944 8 batteries (incl. Bttr. Togo).

Subordinated to Küstenbefehlshaber Ostfriesland, later Deutsche Bucht, and from 11.44 Seekdt. Ostfriesland.


Marine-Flak-Abteilung 217

Formed 9.39 in Memel (only Stab). Disbanded 10.39. Subordinated to Küstenbefehlshaber östliche Ostsee.

Reformed 3.41 in Aurich for Memel, and moved to Memel 4.41 with 7 companies. Disbanded 12.41 at the companies were divided between Marine-Flak-Abteilung 710 (becoming Stab, 4 and 6/710), 219 (becoming 4 and 6/219), 229 (3./229) and 707 (5. as le. Bttr. Memel). Subordinated to Küstenbefehlshaber östliche Ostsee.

Reformed again 8.42 in Zeven for Memel with 7 companies. 1.45 fought its way back to Pillau, and was disbanded 2.45. Subordinated to Küstenbefehlshaber östliche (later mittlere) Ostsee, and 1944 Seekdt. Ostpreussen.


Marine-Flak-Abteilung 219

Formed 2.40 in Gotenhafen with 3 companies. 1941, 9 companies. In 12.41, 4. and 5./219 were transferred to 710, and were replaced from parts of 217. In 1942 increased to 21 batteries from parts of 221, 229, 239 and MAA119 (two batteries were, however, at once transferred to 720). In 12.42 divided into Marine-Flak-Abteilung 219 and 259, the 219 now with 6 batteries (1-4, 6 and 7). 1944 8 batteries (1-7 and 9). Disbanded 4.45 after the loss of Gotenhafen.

Subordinated to Küstenbefehlshaber östliche Ostsee and from 9.42 9. Marine-Flak-Regiment.

Formed 8.26.39 in Kiel-Friedrichsort (later Kiel-Dehnhöft) with 5 companies. 1939 had 9 companies. In 1942 part 221 was used to form Marine-Flak-Abteilung 281. 1943 11 batteries.

Now only 9 batteries, but increased to 13 in 1942. In 3.42, four batteries (2, 10, 12 and 13) was used to form 256. 1944 had 9 batteries.

Subordinated to Küstenbefehlshaber Ostfriesland, later Deutsche Bucht, and from 3.42, 6. Marine-Flak-Regiment.


Marine-Flak-Abteilung 239

Formed 4.41 in Lager Brokzetel, 5.41 in Gotenhafen, 7.41 to Windau and 10.41 in Reval with 10 companies. In 1942 one battery (6) was transferred to 710 and three (1, 2 and 8) to 219, and now had 6 batteries (3-5, 7, 9 and 10). 4.42 in Ostluga, 5.43 to the island Tyttärsari. Evacuated the island 9.44 and moved to Oesel (saw combat at Sworbe), now with 8 batteries. Disbanded 11.44.

Formed 7.41 in Narvik with 6 batteries. In 1943, 2 batteries was transferred to 709, and new 5-8/706 was formed. 1944 had 8 batteries.

Marine-Flak-Abteilung 707

Formed 7.41 in Memel(?) with 5 batteries from 5./215, 5./217 and 3./225. Disbanded in early 1942, the Stab became Stab/711, the batteries became independent as Bttr. Memel (leichte and schwere), Libau (leichte and schwere) and Windau (leichte).

Marine-Flak-Abteilung 710

Formed 10.41 in Gotenhafen with 7 batteries from Stab, 6 and 7/217, 4 and 5/219, 3/229 and 6/239, and then moved to Narvik (Bogen Bay). 4.43 to Altafjord and was reorganised (using 2 and 5/706). In 10.44 returned to Bogen Bay.

Formed 1942 for Reval, from Stab/707, 7/219, 6, 7 and 10/229 with 6 batteries. In autumn 1944 moved to Libau, and 10.01.44 became Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 534. Reformed 3.45 in Swinemünde (8 batteries?).
