Fate


Anniliated in Pillau by the Soviets in late April 1945. Shattered remnants made a desperate final stand on the harbor mole jutting into the Baltic Sea.

In January of 1943 Grenadier-Regiment 277 was destroyed in the seige and encirclement of Velikiye Luki. The remnants not lost in this battle were reorganized into Grenadier-Regiment 257 and in February Grenadier-Regiment 547 formerly of the 328.Infanterie-Division was absorbed.
