Formed for SS-Pz.Gren.Div.9 on 1 Feb 43. On 22 Oct 43 ordered to
reorganize with a Panther Abt (four Kp.) and a Pz.IV Abt. (with four Kp.).
II.Abt. reorganized as gem.Pz.Abt. in Nov 43 (with two Pz.IV and two StuG
Kp.). Stab and II.Abt moved to the Eastern Front with the Division in Apr
44. I.Abt. Remained in the West. I.Abt. Rejoined the division in Jun 44
when 9.SS.-Pz.Div was transferred to Normandy. Regiment was rebuilt in
Nov 44 with I. Abt. (Four Pz.V Kp.) and II.Abt. (with 2 Pz.IV and two StuG
Kp.)
