1.Pz.Div. Assigned to Pz.Brig.4 as independent Heerestruppen on 12 Oct 37.
Mobilized on with two Abt. each with two light and one med Kp. and
assigned to Pz.Div.Kempf on 1 Sep 39. Reassigned to 10.Pz.Div. on 10 Oct
39. The regiment was expanded to eight Kp. on 30 May 41 by forming 3. And
7.Kp. I.Abt. renamed III./Pz.Rgt.36 on 2 Jun 42. I.Abt was reformed in Jun
42, the regiment now consisted of two Abt. each with three light and one
med Kp. III.s.Abt formed from renamed s.Pz.Abt.501 on 26 Feb 43. The
regiment surrendered in Tunisia in May 43.
